Fencing Masks

Masks are essential equipment and the one piece you should spend as best you can. As in uniforms, there are two standards, non-FIE and FIE, for masks – 350N (12 kg of force) and 1600N (27 kg of force). The latter is FIE level and is the most expensive but also the most durable due to its intrinsic strength. Masks have bibs attached and not all masks can be used for all weapons. One should not buy a used mask if possible.
